I hope you’ll forgive the comparison, but most engineers and journalists have one common and very important character trait. They are both ‘show me’ people. This is not to say that they are afraid of the abstract or the conceptualized – they will happily hang either on the wall or file it in the CD collection.

But what they do like even more is evidence, those ‘demonstrables’, ‘proofs’ and ‘case studies’. And, from another point of view, they like to see ‘needs’. “It does this because you need to do that.”
